Icebreaker Industries

Icebreaker Industries is a team of volunteers developing Project Borealis, a Half-Life fan game based on Marc Laidlaw's Epistle 3. As the team grew and came closer to the completion of their initial demo, they were in need of a logo and splash animation. I was assigned to develop the logo, the splash screen was a collaboration of several of the members, I was in charge of creating the color styling as well as animation. Throughout the project, we wanted to pull ideas from the 90s grunge era while staying modern. The grunge aesthetics would be more prominent in the development of the splash screen and logo animations with sepia tones, off-balance kerning, and lo-fi, gritty film look.
